What does the extension do?
It shows, in Chrome’s side panel, what Gravity knows about the brand behind the website you are on: traffic, rank and growth, social audiences, the creators who tag it, its Meta ads, its products. It also recognises the brand behind an Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn or Facebook profile.
Is it free?
Yes, with a Gravity account. Free accounts see 50 brands a day — identity, ranking tiers, monthly traffic, social followers and engagement rates, reviews — plus a preview of the Influencers and Ads tabs. Subscribers get the full data, 1,000 brands a day.
Which sites does it work on?
Any website where Gravity has data — more than 4 million brands — plus the Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook profiles of brands, the Instagram profiles of creators, and the websites of investment funds. A small Gravity button appears at the edge of pages where data exists, before you even open the panel.
What if a site isn’t covered?
Click “Request this site”. The extension sends a screenshot and the HTML of that page to Gravity so the site can be evaluated for indexing.
What does it read in my browser?
Only the domain of the active tab, or the name of the profile you are viewing on a social network, to look up the brand. No browsing history is read or stored, and the extension talks to a single server, Gravity’s own. Everything is detailed in the extension’s privacy policy.
Why does it ask for permissions?
tabs and activeTab to know the current site, sidePanel for the panel itself, favicon to show site icons from Chrome’s cache, scripting only when you click “Request this site” or share to Slack, storage for the settings of the on-page button.
How do I save or share a brand?
From the panel. Star a brand to add it to your watchlist or to a list your team shares — the same lists as in the app. Send a brand page by WhatsApp, Slack or email, or copy a link.
